3 Holiday Recipes That You’ll Love

If you think the overeating ends at Thanksgiving then you’ve must have forgotten that Hanukkah, Christmas, and New Years are around the corner. When celebrations call for a nice, family, and caloric cooked meal then a healthier option might be best! These holiday recipes are what you need.

Honey Glazed Salmon

Ingredients:

4 Salmon Filets

¼ cup honey

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

Dash of Salt

Dash of Pepper

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon melted butter

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees

Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil

Mix together the honey, mustard, butter, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl

Place the salmon filets on the cookie sheet and drizzle the sauce on top

Bake for 20-22 minutes

Enjoy!!

Sweet Potato Latkes

 

Ingredients:

1.5 pounds of skinned sweet potatoes

2 large eggs

5 tablespoons flour

¾ teaspoon salt

½ cup oil

¼ teaspoon ground white pepper

Directions:

Grate the sweet potatoes and onion and place into a bowl

Beat the eggs with salt and pepper to the potato/onion mixture and then add the flour

Have oil in a 10-12 inch non-stick skillet

Take a handful of the potato mixture and flatten it and place into the oil over medium heat for 3 minutes

I love this recipe a latke!

Almond Milk Eggnog

Ingredients:

2 large egg yolks

6 large eggs

¼ cup granulated erythritol

¼ teaspoon salt

4 cups unsweetened almond milk

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

20 drops stevia extract

½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

½ cup heavy cream, chilled

Whiskey, rum or brandy (or whatever liqueur you like)

Directions:

Whisk the eggs and yolks together with the salt, erythritol in a large saucepan

Gradually add in the almond milk to the eggs

Cook mixture until it becomes thick, stir constantly, about 15-20 minutes

Strain egg mixture and add in stevia. Vanilla, and nutmeg

Chill for 3 hours

Add alcohol to glass and pour eggnog over it

Bottoms Up!
